Free Small Business Bootcamp
Mid-Continent Public Library is offering a special Small Business Bootcamp focusing on marketing businesses for new entrepreneurs in the Kansas City area. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. for networking at the Woodneath Library Center. Keynote speaker Joe Roetheli, CEO of the Greenies Company, will share his entrepreneurial story and what has guided him to success starting at 9 a.m.
Numerous organizations that assist small businesses will be present to share resource information, and local entrepreneurs will host breakout sessions offering tips and tricks on different marketing platforms. Special speakers include:
Mark Werner, Turn the Page Online Marketing- Mark is an Online Marketing Strategist with a strong background in sales and retail advertising. He has a proven track record of increasing revenues of the organizations with which he’s been involved.
Rebecca Gubbels, UMKC Small Business and Technology Development Center- Rebecca works as a consultant/coach for entrepreneurs and has a background in the banking industry. Amongst her many specialties are financial analysis, business operations, and process improvement.
Robert Boyle, Justine PETERSEN- As Founder and CEO, Robert has a mission to help low-wealth families make and sustain financial gains. He has a background in property management and urban planning, as well as multi-faceted housing development and construction management.
Stephanie Zamora, Assurance Security- Stephanie is CEO and conductor of a commercial electronics and security surveillance company. She has close ties to the local business community because of her background working with entrepreneurs through the Independence EDC, the Ennovation Center, and KCSourcelink.
Presented by Mid-Continent Public Library and the Clay County Economic Development Council.
