The Rabbit hOle, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, is establishing a new national center for the children’s book at 919 E. 14th Avenue in North Kansas City. As home to the world’s first Explor-a-Storium, it will bring classic and contemporary works of children’s literature to life, allowing visitors to become explorers in a storybook world. The Rabbit hOle will also house a print shop and bindery, full-service bookstore, makerspace, and resource library. The Rabbit hOle will create all of its exhibits in-house, employing more than two dozen designers, artists, and fabricators while attracting tens of thousands of regional and national visitors to North Kansas City each year.
