Winter Wonderland Christmas Tree Decorating Contest

Each year, the North Kansas City Business Council, the City of North Kansas City, North Kansas City businesses and organizations, and various clubs from North Kansas City High School, join in this fun and festive NKC holiday tradition, transforming North Kansas City into a Winter Wonderland of sparkling and uniquely decorated trees along Armour Road & Swift Avenue.

Join the fun, sponsor and decorate a Winter Wonderland Christmas Tree!  Show off your organization?s holiday spirit and creativity and spread some holiday joy!  An Early Bird discount of $25 is available on tree only orders through 5 pm on Friday, October 29th.  Registration ends at 5 pm on  Monday, November 15th.

Trees will be installed on Monday, November 29^th.  Decorating will begin at noon on Tuesday, November 30th.   All trees must be decorated by noon on Monday, December 6th ... we threw in the weekend to give you plenty of time!  Judging will begin at 1 pm that afternoon with winners announced the following day.     

2021 Decorating Categories include Favorite Fictional Christmas Character(s) or Business Related.

North Kansas City High School "Elves" will be available on a limited, first-come first-served basis to decorate trees for those who would like to participate but are not able to decorate a tree themselves.  Please note:  North Kansas City High School "Elves" may choose to decorate your tree to represent their club or in the 2021 theme category ... "Favorite Christmas Characters".  All North Kansas City High School "Elf" decorated trees will compete against each other to see which club best represents the spirit of the holiday.  Winning "Elves" will receive a check for $100 from the North Kansas City Business Council to assist their club!
