Join the North Kansas City Business Council and Northland CAPS (Center for Advanced Professional Studies) for a special Coffee Connect on Wednesday, September 16 at Life Unlimited.

This isn't just another networking event. By showing up, you're helping students build the confidence and real-world skills they'll carry into their future careers.

Northland CAPS connects high school students with authentic, profession-based learning experiences that help prepare them for college, careers, and life beyond the classroom. An important part of that preparation is learning something that can't always be taught from a textbook: how to walk into a room, introduce yourself, start a conversation, ask thoughtful questions, and build a professional connection.

That's where our business community comes in.

During this special Coffee Connect, CAPS students will have the opportunity to put those skills into practice by networking directly with local business and community professionals. Simply by attending, having conversations, asking questions, and sharing a little about your own career journey, you're giving students valuable real-world experience.

You'll also have an opportunity to learn more about Northland CAPS, its growing programs and new Pleasant Valley location, and the many ways local businesses can connect with and support the next generation of professionals.

Two Opportunities to Participate

Morning Session: 7:45–9:00 a.m.
Afternoon Session: 12:00–2:30 p.m.

Attend whichever session works best for your schedule—or join us for both.

Whether you're a business owner, professional, educator, or community leader, you have experience worth sharing. Come make a few new connections of your own while helping a student learn how to make theirs.
