This week's Northland Coffee Connect will focus on North Kansas City's only craft distillary, Restless Spirits. Join us on August 30th, 2023, to hear the entrepreneurial story of Mike and Benay Shannon.
Mike has entrepreneurship in his blood, following in the footsteps of his ancestors, he decided to bring the Heart of America some real Irish styled whiskey. Benay is a science teacher turned distillary master, bringing in numerous awards for her craft, including Missouri Distillery of the Year, every year since opening the doors in 2016! Our goal at Northland Coffee Connect is to recognize, celebrate and support entrepreneurial ventures in North Kansas City and the Northland (Clay & Platte Counties). Creating and growing small businesses is an important key to economic development. With proper nourishment, many of these businesses will grow and provide additional employment in the Northland. As often as possible, we like to have the presenting business host Northland Coffee Connect, but when that isn't possible, we are able to use space at iWerx in NKC or Chicken N Pickle.
