2025 June Membership Luncheon: Mayor Jesse Smith

Mayor Jesse Smith was elected in April 2025 to lead North Kansas City, following three terms on the City Council from 2019 to 2025. A Northtown resident since 2013, Smith brings a background in finance and entrepreneurship, having previously worked as a bank examiner for the FDIC and later as a real estate investor and educator. 

Known for his commitment to transparent communication and community engagement, Mayor Smith has pledged to foster inclusive growth while preserving the city's small-town character. His priorities include revitalizing underused spaces, enhancing walkability, and strengthening neighborhood connections through events like block parties. 

Outside of public service, Jesse is a husband and father of two who enjoys sharing his knowledge on financial literacy, travel, and renovation projects through his YouTube channel.
