About Us

Established in 1953 as Ward Parkway Bank, Country Club Bank has been a trusted financial institution in the Kansas City community for over seven decades. In 1963, we adopted our Country Club Bank name, and shortly thereafter, in 1968, CCB Financial Corporation was established as our holding company. Under the visionary leadership of the late Byron Thompson, an esteemed entrepreneur and former chairman, as well as his son Paul Thompson, the current Chairman and CEO, Country Club Bank has experienced remarkable growth and transformation. By focusing on the needs of small businesses and actively engaging with the community, we’ve evolved from a modest $42 million commercial bank into a locally driven Kansas City staple with over $2.13 billion in assets and over $2.7 billion in assets under management through our Country Club Trust Company division. Recognizing the diverse financial needs of our customers, we have 20 locations across greater Kansas City and established respected affiliates that provide services in trusts, investments, mergers and acquisitions, wealth management, insurance and more. We strive to be the ideal partner for you, your family or your business by providing the guidance and support needed to plan, prosper and preserve through every stage of your life.
