DESCRIPTION:Northland Coffee Connect Wednesday\, June 3\, will be a special celebration at Vocational Services\, Inc. (VSI) at 101 W 18th Ave (one block west of Chicken N Pickle). \n\n \n\nVSI is celebrating 60 years as a "sheltered workshop"\, supporting other businesses with contracted manufacturing services combined with training and jobs for adults with disabilities. One outstanding local example is the 50-year working arrangement VSI has had with Tnemec Company.\n\n \n\nPlease plan to come join in the celebration!\n\n \n\nIn spite of this long history\, VSI is experiencing new growth and vitality under the leadership of Kimbal Mothershead. Kimbal was recently selected as the State President of the Missouri Association of Sheltered Workshop Managers.\n\n \n\nThe mission of Vocational Services\, Inc. (VSI) is to enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities and to support their rights by offering choices for employment and community integration.
