DESCRIPTION:Join us on the 4th Thursday of every month for lunch and networking with fellow NKCBC members\, as well as other North Kansas City business owners and representatives\, community leaders\, and elected officials.  In addition to lunch and networking\, you will enjoy a presentation by our featured speaker. \n\n\n\nThis month\, join us and the members of the Northland Health Alliance as they share their unique story of collaboration in the Northland. Gary Zaborac (NHA Director) will lead the conversation with details about the group's history\, mission\, previous accomplishments and how they are tackling the health disparities by zip code in our community.\n\n\n\nBob Theis (Samuel Rodgers)\, Johannah Schrader (NKCH/Meritas) and Michelle Lane (NKCH/Meritas) will share details about the three community health needs that are their focus for the next 3 years. \n\n1. Access to care: Transportation\n\n2. Access to Healthy Foods\n\n3. Mental and Behavioral Health\n\nGroup members of each task force will share their team's goals\, strategies and how you can help move the mission forward to improve the health of our community. \n\n\n\nThe Missouri Hospital Association has selected North Kansas City to share the story of what they are doing to improve the community health upstream of the hospital/clinical environment. This story will be shared in a tiny bite sized documentary\, and the film crew will be at the meeting\, filming. Join us to show support and tell the story of community and business engagement in the Northland. You won't want to miss this! After all\, health is the greatest wealth.\n\n\n\nLunch will be provided by Above and Beyond Catering.
