Over the last 59 years\, Garney Construction has become the nation's leader in water and wastewater systems. In 2019\, their growth led them to begin searching for a new home for their headquarters. Garney landed on North Kansas City as an ideal location and in November 2020 they moved into their new headquarters\, a 32\,000 square-foot renovated warehouse office located at 1700 Swift Street in North Kansas City. \n\n \n\nThe award-winning renovation of the existing 1950's warehouse building was designed to reflect Garney's "boots-on-the-ground culture" with an additional emphasis on creating "huddle spaces" for people to come together to brainstorm and collaborate. Some of the features that highlight the core of Garney's business and showcase an office culture that combines gritty determination and a fun-loving passion for what they do include seating booths inside concrete pipes each weighing 18\,000 pounds\, pipe-inspired light fixtures and a water design on carpeting.\n\n \n\nJoin us at the First Friday Coffee to meet some of their team members and tour their headquarters.
