DESCRIPTION:Join us for lunch to meet\, share with and learn from other North Kansas City business leaders and get an update on the One North development from Rick Worner. Rick is the Master Developer selected by the City of North Kansas City to make what was once called "the former ADM mill site" and then "the Armour Road Redevelopment Area" come alive as a mixed-use district with new businesses and amenities. Rick came up with the name "One North" referring to the fact that the redevelopment area opens to the south from the beginning of Missouri Highway One\, which only goes one way from there\; North\, and signifies the redevelopment area is located in the Northland\, specifically NORTH Kansas City\, and promises to be quite special.\n\n\n\nRick has a long history in real estate development.  He served as Managing Director at Oppenheimer & Co for almost 30 years and formed National Realty Advisors in 2014 to do projects like One North. He was very instrumental in driving economic development for Wyandotte County's Village West tourism district.\n\n\n\nHe is a graduate of the University of Kansas and has been involved with the Love Fund for Children.
